Conceptual design is an aspect of graphic design I struggle with the most, so in the attempts during this section I tried to push my efforts as best as possible. The first design attempts to use negative space to provide information about myself. The negative space is intended to look like a jewel encrusted sword as a representation for my love of fantasy themed media. Secondly the intention with the negative space has been emphasised by the use of abbreviating my name down to C.Muir, i intended to use the way it sounds similar to the words “see more” as a nod towards the optical illusion theme intended. The second Design is a simple approach in which I recreated a pair of dice and replaced the ‘1’ faces with my initials. The reasoning behind using dice was made because I intend to design board games as a career after I finish my course, so it felt like a fitting association.
